builders to demonstrate the level of acoustic performance within
their developments. Testing allows you to comply with Building
Regulations and perhaps more importantly, demonstrate to potential
buyers that your properties are built in line with legislation and
regulation, such as the Code for Sustainable Homes.
As with air pressure testing,
acoustic tests measure the efficiency of each unit type on your
development. To provide you with a rating only 10% of each unit
type needs to be tested. If you are unsure as to how many unit
types you have on your site, you should refer this to building
control.
